Pancakes

Pancakes are really easy: they’re basically flour, eggs, milk, and sugar that are heated on medium heat (~5 out of 10) until they are browned. I actually tend to have a hard time browning the second side for some reason, but the first sides always come out perfectly.

After numerous tries given online recipes, I have come up with this one. The main difference is a bit more sugar than usual.

Dry ingredients:

  • 3/4c flour
  • 1/2t salt
  • 2t sugar
  • 1/4t baking powder

Just dump all the dry ingredients into their own bowl, mix them a bit and set it aside.

Wet ingredients

  • 1/2c milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1T butter

The first thing to do is to heat the butter and soften it so it can be added and blended in with the milk.  Then add the one egg, beaten, and mix it in as well.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix it up a bit.  The trick here is not to mix too long, but just enough to make sure all the dry ingredients are well incorporated.  It’s ok if it’s still lumpy.  I find the consistency of the pancakes are much better if you don’t mix too much.

Then heat your pan to medium heat so that when a small droplet of water is added to the pan it sizzles.  Make each pancake by pouring a bit of the batter into the center of the pan until it forms a small circle.  Wait until the batter shows bubbles on the top, and then turn it over for about half that amount of time (or less).  You’ll get a feeling for when the pancake is cooked.  Move each pancake to a plate when they’re done.

Chinese Hot & Sour Seafood Soup

* 1/4 pound lean pork, cut into ¼-inch cubes
* 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon cornstarch
* 1 Tablespoon brandy

* 10 dried black Chinese mushrooms

* ¼ cup cornstarch, mixed with ¼ cup water

* 8 cups (less the amount of the reserved mushroom liquid)pork or chicken stock
* 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
* 4 Tablespoons rice or white wine vinegar
* 2 small hot chili peppers (like Thai bird peppers), seeds removed and sliced into thin circles (or 1 jalapeno)–or more, if you like to break a sweat on the back of your head
* 1 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 teaspoon salt
* ¼ cup peeled and diced taro or potato
* 1 square of bean curd (tofu), sliced into ¼-inch cubes
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* 2 green onions, sliced thin
* 1 Tablespoon sesame oil

Garnish: fresh cilantro, finely chopped (or green onion)

Marinate the pork in the soy, brandy, and cornstarch at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.

Soak the mushrooms in warm water to cover for 20 minutes. Remove the mushrooms, reserving liquid, and slice into thin strips. Discard any woody stems.

Mix mushroom liquid and stock in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, chili peppers, and salt–then blend in the cornstarch-water mixture and bring to a boil, so that it thickens. Add the pork, reduce heat, and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Add cubed taro or potato, the mushroom slices, and the cubes of bean curd. Cook 20 more minutes.

When ready to serve, keep at a simmer and slowly dribble in the beaten eggs. Don’t stir: you don’t want it to glop up in big pieces. When the egg strands float to the top, stir in the sesame oil and sliced green onions and serve immediately, ladling into bowls and garnishing with the cilantro or more green onions.

Rice Cooker Bread

Ingredients :
350gr bread flour
21 gr butter
21 gr sugar
35cc milk
180cc water
5gr dry yeast
6,5 gr salt

How to make :
1. Flour, sugar, salt, dry yeast, water and milk mix together until not sticky
2. add butter
3. after feel sticky, make it into a ball
4. leave it into warm place until 60 minutes
5. remove extra gas by dropping from 50cm
6. cook until another 60 minutes

Tahu Pepes Telur Asin

Bahan :
- 1 buah tahu cina
- 5 butir telur asin
- 100 cc santan kental
- 5 lembar daun salam
- 5 ruas jari lengkuas
- 10 buah cabe rawit
- Daun pisang

Bumbu:
- 4 butir bawang merah
- 2 siung bawang putih
- 1 ruas jari kunyit
- 2 ruas jari jahe
- 4 buah cabe merah

Cara membuat :

* Haluskan tahu cina
* Haluskan bumbu
* Campur hingga rata : tahu cina halus, bumbu halus dan santan.
* Siapkan daun pisang dan susun daun salam, lengkuas pada dasar daun pisang, kemudian masukkan adonan tahun, telur asin dan cabe rawit. Bungkus dan sematkan.
* Kukus selama 15 menit.
* Hidangkan.

sweet cassava

What You Need
1 kg singkong, kupas, potong2, cuci bersih = cuma 500g aja
Air secukupnya utk merebus singkong
1/2 gelas belimbing gula pasir
1 sdt garam

Vla Santan:
1 kotak Kara @200ml = setengahnya doang
75gr gula pasir
1/2 sdt garam
1 sdm tepung maizena, encerkan dengan sedikit air

Directions
Rebus singkong sampai empuk. Masukkan gula & garam. Teruskan merebus sampai singkong merekah.

Vla Santan:
Campur santan dengan gula & garam. Masak diatas api kecil sambil
terus diaduk agar tidak pecah. Kentalkan dengan larutan maizena.
Angkat. Siram ke atas singkong. Hidangkan hangat2.

Resep Oatmeal

4 sendok penuh oatmeal, dicampur 1 sendok susu bubuk rasa vanila (biasanya saya pake merk H*Lo) lalu diaduk ama air panas yg takarannya sesuai selera.
setelah itu saya makan dengan potongan pisang.

Cara II
4-5 sendok oatmeal (tergantung pingin kental atau nggak).
Tumis sedikit bwg putih, sebentar aja jgn sampai hangus ya.
Tambahkan wortel yg dipotong kecil2, baru kemudian tambahkan air atau kaldu ayam (terserah) baru masukkan oatmealnya, dimasak hingga lembek oatmeal, mau kental atau tidak terserah. Klu susi sendiri suka tidak terlalu kental dan masak agak lembek, jadi mirip bubur.
Klu buat anak, suka ditambah irisan telur dadar atau abon.

Cara 3 :
ahan :
2 sdm oatmeal
Gula secukupnya (kalo saya pake madu)
2 potong strawbery (potong sedang)
50 gram strawbery (dibuat jus)
50ml air air panas

Caranya :
- Campur Oatmeal + madu /gula dengan air panas sampai rata
- Masukkan potongan strawbery dan jus, lalu diaduk sampai rata

Oatmeal strawbery siap disantap.

Cream Sup Jagung

Bahan:
1 klg jagung/ 5 buah sweet corn dipipil
1 dada ayam, disuwir/dicincang kasar.
4 buah telur ayam, kocok
1 klg susu tawar (200 – 250 ml)
100 gr tepung terigu
100 gr margarine
500 ml air
6 siung bwg merah
4 siung bwg putih
Merica
Garam
Daun bawang seledri (1-2 btg) diikat jadi satu (jgn diiris)
Cara:
1. Merica, bawang merah putih, garam dihaluskan.
2. Terigu digoreng pakai margarine lalu seduh dg air.
3. Jagung ayam direbus sampai mendidih, masukkan bumbu yg sdh dihaluskan. Masukkan terigu yg sdh digoreng.
4. Masukkan daun bawang seledri.
5. Setelah mendidih, masukkan kocokan telur pelan2 sambil diaduk-aduk. Masukkan susu. Aduk hingga mendidih.
6. Cicipi hidangkan hangat dg garlic bread.

CREAM SOUP II
Bahan :
1L susu cair ultra
1bh jagung manis dipipil
100 gr dada ayam,potong dadu
1lbr smoke beef
1sdm maizena
1sdm tepung terigu
1/4 sdt pala bubuk
1/2 sdt merica bubuk
1sdt gula pasir
1/2 sdt garam
Kalau suka bisa ditambahkan
100 gr keju chedar parut
100ml cream kental
Dg tambahan ini soupnya jadi lbh yummy..
Cara buatnya :
Semua bahan dimasak sampai mendidih dan soup mengental.

Resep Sop Ikan Krapu

bahan :

1 ekor ikan krapu ukuran sedang, potong 2 beri air eruk nipis, sisihkan
1 buah tofu
2 cm jahe
2 siung bawang putih, cincang
2 batang daun bawang

bumbu:
1 sdt garam
1/2 sdt merica
1 sdt gula pasir
1 sdm kecap kiwi
1 sdm kecap asin
1 sdt minyak wijen
1 sdt arak beras (optional)

500 ml air putih
1 sdm minyak goreng

cara membuat :

– Panaskan wajan, tumis bwang putih hingga harum, masukkan jahe tumis sampai
harum.
– Masukkan tofu, aduk pelan, sisihkan
– Didihkan air dalam panci kecil
– Masukkan tumisan bawang dan tofu, masukkan ikan krapu dan semua bumbu
– Cicip dan sesuaikan rasanya dengan selera, didihkan dan masukkan irisan
bawang daun.

Asem-asem Iga

Bahan :
- ¼ kg Iga sapi, potong sesuai selera
- 100 gr wortel, potong seperti dadu
- 100 gr kembang kol, potong per kuntum
- 2 buah tomat, potong 8 bagian
- Daun seledri secukupnya.

Bumbu :
- 3 siung bawang putih, tumbuk kasar.
- 3 siung bawan putih, rajang
- 2 cm lengkuas, di memarkan
- 5 buah belimbing sayur (atau sesuai selera)
- 1 sendok teh, gula.
- 1 liter air
- Garam secukupnya

Cara membuat :
Tumis bawang putih sampai harum, tambahkan rajangan bawang merah dan lengkuas.
Masukkan Iga sapi, aduk sampai kecoklatan. Tambahkan air, garam dan gula, masak sampai daging iga empuk. Tambahkan belimbing sayur, wortel, kembang kol dan tomat.
Angkat setelah sayuran masak, taburi seledri cincang dan tutuplah panci.
